Two female rowers from Iran have succeeded in clinching two gold medals at the 2023 Asian Junior Rowing Championships in Pattaya, Thailand.

In the under-23 class of the 2023 Asian Championships, the Iranian national team with four female athletes could win two gold medals.

Kimia Zarei and Fatemeh Majlal overcame rivals from Hong Kong, Kazakhstan, and Vietnam to stand in the first place.

Mohammad Ali Ghorat and Yasaman Hamzehpour accompanied the female rowing team from Iran as the coach and the assistant coach respectively.

In the male section, Abolfazl Sotouti and Amirreza Abdali from Iran finished runner-up, as Vietnam stood in the first place and Taiwan stood in the third place.

The 2023 Asian Junior Rowing Championships is being held from December 11 to 19.
